Pet Care Policy

These policies help SIXXPAWS provide safe, consistent, and professional care for every pet. Clients are asked to review and accept current policies through the client portal before a booking is confirmed.

The most current version of all policies will always be presented through the client portal at the time of booking. Policies may be updated as SIXXPAWS Pet Care grows.

Vaccination Requirements

All pets in SIXXPAWS' care must be current on core vaccinations appropriate for their species. Dogs are required to have current:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper/Parvo (DHPP)
  • Bordetella (kennel cough)

Proof of vaccinations may be requested prior to the first confirmed booking.

Pet Health & Disclosure

Pet owners must disclose all known health conditions, medications, allergies, and special care needs at the time of inquiry. Accurate health information ensures your pet receives safe and appropriate care during their stay.

Pets that appear ill at drop-off may not be accepted into care until cleared by a veterinarian.

Pet Behavior & Safety

SIXXPAWS reserves the right to decline or end care for any pet that poses a safety risk to people, other animals, or property. Pet owners must disclose any known behavioral concerns, aggression history, or special handling needs at the time of inquiry.

If a pet displays unexpected aggression or unsafe behavior during their stay, the owner will be contacted immediately and may be required to arrange pickup.

Medication Administration

SIXXPAWS can administer oral medications as instructed by the pet owner. Clear written instructions must be provided at drop-off. SIXXPAWS is not responsible for complications arising from undisclosed medications or incorrect dosage information provided by the owner.

Emergency Veterinary Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency, SIXXPAWS will make every reasonable effort to contact the pet owner immediately. If the owner cannot be reached, SIXXPAWS is authorized to seek emergency veterinary care on behalf of the pet. The pet owner is responsible for all veterinary costs incurred.

Drop-Off & Pickup

Drop-off and pickup times are arranged and confirmed at the time of booking through the client portal. Late pickups should be communicated as early as possible. Arrangements for extended care due to late pickup will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Personal Belongings

You are welcome to bring your pet's food, bed, favorite toys, or comfort items. SIXXPAWS is not responsible for lost, damaged, or destroyed personal items during your pet's stay.

Pricing

Pricing may vary depending on holidays, additional pets, puppies, medications, transportation, extended care, behavioral needs, or customized care requests. Final pricing is reviewed and confirmed before booking approval.
